The Battlefield

It’s dark. It’s cold. All you see is the thick cloud of heavy, gray smoke hovering all around you. Your taken over by fear and can’t move, you can barely breathe in all the smoke and flames. Curled in a ball hiding behind a rock, you finally get enough courage to look up. Even more fear comes. Dodging enemies bullets left and right, stuck in the middle of it all, not sure what to do…

Life is a big battlefield itself. People get involved in drama, dodging problems left and right, sometimes you get stuck in a sticky situation and you don’t know what to do. Pray. Just pray. Ask God to help you through your crisis. He’s there, he will help you. He will never give up. He will “never leave you and never forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). Always remember that “With God, ALL things are possible” (Matthew 19:26). Study his word, know it to help you get through, to help you help others. With fear still in your eyes, you duck back down, bow your head and begin to speak:

“Oh Heavenly Father, please fill me with your presence. Give me strength to get through this mess. Help me understand that everything is going to be okay. I know that if Jesus did what he did for us, then I can do this. I can do anything through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13). Help me to never give up, to never quit. Jesus never gave up on us, he never quit. HE GAVE HIS LIFE FOR US. Help me, Lord. I give this all to you Lord. Amen!”

This time when you look up, the fear is gone. You have a sense of peace in mind, even though you feel the rush of the enemy bullets flying by you in every which direction. You are determined to never give up. Wind speed picks up, sand blows everywhere, giving you the perfect chance to escape the horrible mess. When you make it out alive, all you an say is “PRAISE THE LORD!! AMEN!”
